Questions

Before you buy

Is the Community Edition really free?

Yes. It is open source under the Apache License 2.0, commercial use included, with no time limit and no cap on repositories or users.

How is the Enterprise Edition priced?

As a subscription sized by seats: the people who use it. Service accounts don't count. Tell us about your team and your deployment, and we will send a quote; you pay by invoice.

Can we try it before we buy?

Yes. The Enterprise licence allows development, testing and a 30-day evaluation outside production. Write to us for an evaluation key.

Does it need to reach your servers?

No. The licence key is signed and checked offline, so BBM-Atlas never phones home, and air-gapped sites work.

What happens if our licence expires?

The Enterprise features keep working through a grace period, 14 days by default, while the log warns. Then BBM-Atlas runs as the Community Edition. No data is ever deleted, organisations stay apart, and a renewed key restores everything.

Can we read the Enterprise code?

Yes. It is source-available in the same repository, under the BBM-Atlas Enterprise License, as an extension package the Apache-2.0 core never depends on.
